Complementary care packs for patients at Priscilla Bacon Hospice
Patients at the Priscilla Bacon Hospice were recently treated to care packs provided by the NCH&C Charitable Fund.
The packs, which contained essential self-care items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, shower gel, sponges and dry shampoo will be provided to patients who do not have local family or friends to support them during their stay, or for patients who may be experiencing financial difficulties.
NCH&C Charity Development and Project Manager Carol Plunkett said:
“It was a real pleasure to be able to provide these packs for patients in need at the Priscilla Bacon Hospice. Being admitted to a hospice can be a stressful experience.
"These simple but essential items help patients to maintain not just their hygiene, but their dignity too. We hope they make life a little more comfortable for patients during their stay.”
