Nominations for this year's staff awards are now open
The NCH&C REACH Awards stand for Recognition of Excellence and Achievement in Community Healthcare. The awards are a great opportunity to come together and celebrate the wonderful work of individuals and teams across the trust.
As part of our award ceremony, we are inviting public nominations for two categories: Patient Choice Award and Volunteer of the Year Award.

Patient Choice Award
Have you received excellent care from an individual or team at NCH&C? Did they go over and above what you expected? Then why not nominate them for the Patient Choice Award and this year's REACH Awards.
This award gives patients, families, and carers the chance to nominate an individual or team who has provided outstanding care or support, often going the extra mile to ensure patients have a positive experience with our service.
Our dedicates teams deliver NHS community and inpatient services across the county every single day. We think they all deserve to be recognised for their hard work, but we know there are many who go beyond the call of duty for the people who need them.
Patients, families, and carers can nominate any member of staff for this award. It could be following care during an outpatient appointment, community visit, or a longer hospital stay.

Did they make your appointment, or stay in hospital, as comfortable as possible? Did they explain what would be happening during the visit or stay? A shortlist will be published soon after and a winner will be announced at an award ceremony in September 2025.
Volunteer of the Year Award
Do you know a volunteer who goes above and beyond what is expected of them? Do they demonstrate the dedication and drive to make a difference? Then you could nominate them for the Volunteer of the Year Award at this year's REACH Awards.
Volunteers are an integral part of NCH&C and we would like to recognise their efforts and commitment. This award celebrates their achievements and the valuable contribution they make to our services.
This award is open to anyone who works for NCH&C in an unpaid capacity, and all members of the public and NCH&C staff are invited to submit a nomination.

When completing your nomination, please consider:
How has the individual has made a significant difference to the lives of service users, patients, carers, staff, or other volunteers? How much do they listen to the views of other people? How has this person has exceeded what would normally be expected of them and demonstrated their outstanding commitment and enthusiasm to their role as a volunteer?
