Research and development
One of the core duties of all NHS organisations is to collaborate in NHS research and to enable patients and the public to participate in high quality research which will benefit their own and future patients health and healthcare and is deemed of benefit to the NHS.
NHS research is managed by an NHS body called the National Institute for Health Research Part of the NIHR which helps run the delivery of research is called the Clinical Research Network . Our Trust work very closely with the CRN Eastern, hosted by the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital to set up clinical studies quickly and effectively, provide health professionals with research training and work with patients and the public to ensure their needs are at the centre of all research activity.
To offer patients opportunities to be involved in research, we have our own dedicated research service. The team work across all our services to support the delivery of NIHR research projects.
For information on any of our Research activities, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or Tel: 01603 272251/2
Norfolk & Suffolk Primary & Community Care Research Office, hosted by South Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group, facilitates research within our Trust. For information on Research Proposals and Funding Routes, and Public and Patient Involvement in Research, please click here
Join Dementia Research Register.
Join Dementia Research is a national service that makes it easy for anyone over 18 to take part in vital dementia research studies. People with dementia or memory problems, their carers and anyone who is interested can sign up.
It is only through research that we will find new and better ways to prevent, treat, care for and one day beat dementia. Simply register your details and a researcher will be in touch when an appropriate study becomes available. You do not have to take part in any particular studies. It is always your choice whether or not to take part.
