ADHD Norfolk
This group work with individuals, families, schools and other organisations to improve the lives of those with ADHD/ADD. Services include increasing ADHD awareness, ADHD wellbeing, ADHD coaching, ADHD-specific parenting programmes, bespoke staff training and education programmes.
Family Action
The Family Action ASD/ADHD Support service offers support to parents of children and young people waiting for an assessment by the Neurodevelopment Service in Norfolk. We also offer some support to parents of children who have been diagnosed with ASD or ADHD. Parents are invited to attend workshops, support groups, courses and individual support and advice in matters relating to their child’s needs.
Positive Behaviour Strategies (PBS)
Positive Behaviour Strategies (PBS) is a programme for families of children with additional needs. It was developed originally to give group support to families of children who had been referred for assessment by a specialist team. This course will help you think about the messages your child is trying to communicate to you and offers some practical skills and strategies to promote your child’s development and wellbeing.
Young Minds – supporting your child with ADHD
If your child has ADHD, or you think they might, the Young Minds website has information on professional help, diagnosis, and practical advice on supporting them with their ADHD and mental health.
ADHD Foundation
The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity supports parents and carers so they can understand and meet the needs of their child. With a range of webinars, courses, resources, and our screening service, we help families to know which interventions and adaptations are right for them.

What happens after my child gets an ADHD diagnosis?
If your child has been diagnosed with ADHD, it may feel a little daunting initially. After receiving an ADHD diagnosis for their child, many parents may understandably experience a mix of emotions. It is important to remember that you are not alone in these feelings, and it can be helpful to reach out for support.
