**Covid-19 Information**
The Learning Disability Community Service would like to provide you with the most up to date information we have on the Covid-19 vaccine:

It is important to start preparing people with learning disabilities for having the Covid-19 vaccine. Please consider action plans and seek support for those who may need additional support; de-sensitisation, needle phobias, etc.
For those who may lack capacity in relation to receiving the Covid19 vaccine please liaise with families and GPs.

- ReSPECT leaflet – please liaise with family and GP’s regarding this. This is recommended for everyone regardless of age and diagnosis.

Our service
What is an Integrated Learning Disabilities Service?
We are a team of Health & Social Care Professionals (Norfolk County Council) who support adults with Learning Disabilities.

What is a Learning Disability?
A Learning Disability is a significant impairment in intellectual functioning combined with an impairment in social or adaptive functioning since childhood.
Information on learning disabilities is available on the NHS website.
The team offers specialist assessment, including diagnostic assessment of learning disabilities and autism.
Depending on what is needed the team work in different ways
- Directly with the person
- Indirectly – with carers and families
- Jointly with other professionals
- Signposting and support to access mainstream services
Who we care for
Adults (people aged 18 and over) with a learning disability whose needs cannot be met by mainstream services. Individuals must be registered with a Norfolk GP.

Help with health costs
If you're referred to hospital or other NHS premises for specialist NHS treatment or diagnostic tests by a doctor, dentist or another primary care health professional, you may be able to claim a refund of reasonable travel costs under the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS).
